Each year a number of educational visits are made, often in school time, but sometimes outside these times. For older children these visits may be residential.
The Governors and Parent Teachers Association (PTA) have worked together to subsidise all trips, across the school, to help reduce the amount of voluntary contribution requested from parents, and to ensure that sufficient trips are offered to support the children’s learning.
Year 6 children are able to take part in a week’s visit each year to a specially built activities centre where they will carry out team building, leadership and confidence building tasks.
All out of normal school time activities are purely voluntary for both staff and pupils. Costs are kept to a minimum for such activities and, where necessary, financial help can be given, in complete confidence, from a fund administrated by the Headteacher.
