School Dinners

Our school offers a two course cooked midday meal which is freshly prepared on our premises by Edwards & Blake.  The price is currently £2.50 per day (£12.50 per week).  The meal is well balanced and is appealing to the children.  Our cook provides a vegetarian option daily and , very often a choice of dessert which always includes fruit.  Homemade salads are prepared on a daily basis, along with our freshly baked bread.

Payments for meals can be made through the Parentmail system, an online service which keeps you up to date with your child's dinner money account and allows payment to be made right up the morning of the day for which the meal is to be taken, avoiding having to send cash into school.  When your child joins us, we will send you the link to Parentmail to invite you to set this up.  All payments should be received by the school before meals are to be taken.

Children in the Early Years Foundation Stage, Year 1 and Year 2 are eligible for 'Universal Free School Meals' under current Government Policy, and payment for lunches will not be required until your child is in Year 3 or above.

 Pick & Mix Cold Lunches

As well as our full school menu above, our school cook Mrs Jeffery offers a Pick & Mix Cold lunch as another option.  Please see the menu below. Each day your child can tell their teacher at registration whether they will be a Hot School dinner/ Cold School Dinner or their own Packed Lunch. This is the same price as a hot school dinner.

If your child has a special medical/allergy menu they will still have the options of the pick and mix, they may have a sandwich rather than a roll.

Free School Meals

Children whose parents are in receipt of certain benefits may be eligible to apply for Free School Meals.  For further information and how to apply, please use the link below to Suffolk County Council website.  We encourage you to check whether you are eligible for Free School Meals as we are then able to assist you in other ways across the school.

Nut Free School

We have a number of children and staff with a severe allergy to peanuts and other nuts.  In order to ensure the safety of these individuals, we would like you to assist us in being a NUT FREE SCHOOL.

Please do not provide your child with snacks or food containing nuts - please check food labels, as often nuts can be a hidden ingredient and not obvious in the name of the product.  Please save peanut butter, chocolate nut spread and nut cereal bars for treats to have at home.

Specific Dietary Needs

Our school meals are provided and prepared by Edwards & Blake, and a full list of allergens is available on their website for those with specific dietary requirements.  If your child has specific needs due to medical, allergy or religious beliefs, please ensure that staff are made aware of these before your child joins us, or immediately as they occur.

If your child requires a medical diet due to a food allergy, food intolerance or a medical condition that requires an adapted menu (e.g. carbohydrate count for Type 1 Diabetes), please follow the link below to request a medical diet:  For further support, please refer to the Parent User Guide.
